Yup – it’s true, I will be camped out at the Doubletree Inn in San Jose, CA, for all of Memorial Day weekend (25 – 28 May.) I’ll have books and all sorts of fun swag (giveaways) – and I’ll be talking too! Be there! Clockwork Alchemy Steampunk Convention.
Friday 2-4 pm “Break Out Room (TBD)” – author readings, meet up, and chat. I’ll be there reading from The Volcano Lady – Volumes 1 and 2.
Saturday 10-11am San Jose Room – National Novel Writers Month workshop for anyone who has a deep desire to be an author but could use tips and tricks of the trade, and/or wants to participate in any of the 3 upcoming NaNoWriMo months in 2012.
Saturday 11-Noon Santa Clara Room – Culture 101. If you’re going to write or cosplay Steampunk, you should sit in on this culture discussion. I get to talk about basic Victorian manners, but we aren’t limited to things Victorian: Author Sharon Cathcart will be chatting about Culture beyond Victorian.
Saturday 1-2pm San Jose Room – Victorian Womens Fashion 101. Come by to learn all about what was worn and why. Check Clockwork Alchemy’s soon-to-be posted schedule because there are Mens Fashion panels, weapons panels, and all sorts of other things.
Monday 9-10am Room TBD – Women’s Hairstyles. Blurry-eye’d and exhausted, we’ll play with hair and hats, and will have a blast (if we’re awake!)
